Dept. of Public Health to Hold Orientation for Emergency Volunteers

October 10, 2003 (Mohave County, Kingman) – The Mohave County Department of Public Health will be holding an orientation for all volunteers who signed up to assist in the event of a public health emergency. The orientation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2003 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at the Kathryn Heidenreich Center, 1776 Airway Avenue, Kingman. It is open to anyone who is interested in volunteering their time to help other members of the community during emergencies. Subjects to be covered during the orientation include:

	Overview of the Department and how volunteers will pay a role
	Types of emergency events
	Overview of expectations
	The Strategic National Stockpile
	Volunteer assignments
	Attire
	Issues arising about other family members
	Volunteer recognition
