Common questions...
What is the best way to quit?
There is no "best" way.  However, most successful people quit "cold turkey".
When will my cravings stop?
The first two weeks are usually the worst, after that the cravings will lessen.  Some ex-smokers have occasional cravings for years, but learn to handle the situation.
Isn't it too late to get healthier?
NO!  24hours after your last cigarette, your risk of heart attack decreases.  3 months later, your lung function dramatically increases.
Can patches or Zyban really help?
Although each person is different, medical aids can significantly increase your chance of successfully quitting.
Won't I gain weight?
Most people who quit only gain 5 - 10 pounds.  But smoking is as bad for your health as gaining 75 pounds of fat!  You can try to keep your weight down by exercising and drinking lots of water.  These are also great ways to fight cigarette cravings!
What about withdrawal symptoms?
Some smokers report having difficulty concentrating, tingling sensations in their hands and feet, and irritability.  The good news is that these symptoms are from the body starting to heal.
